Our history

It started with Abe Holand in 1986.

After 24 years working in the Foam business, Abe started his own Foam Fabrication company, Century Service Affiliates, Inc. (our Parent company - literally!)

Abe’s sons Steve and Larry were there from the beginning.

These pictures are from January 1986 on our first day of business. Pictured are Abe, Steve and Edie (my mother - the real boss!).

Steve took over the business in 1997 and the business grew rapidly, primarily selling custom cut packaging foam and other protective foam products. Larry set off for a career as a High School Teacher and to run his videography company, Imagine Studio.

In 2003, Steve acquired a small case company, Carry Cases Plus. Using his computer programming background, he launched CarryCasesPlus.com which became the go-to source for Cases with Stock Foam and Custom Foam Inserts.

The business continued to grow but the same issue kept coming up. People kept asking for custom foam for a single case. There was no easy solution. The customer could send their items to us so we could measure and design but that increased costs because it required shipping back and forth as well as design fees.

Looking for a way to make a single case with custom foam affordable, Steve went back to his programming days, and in 2012 MyCaseBuilder.com was born. Finally, a user could create their custom foam design online with an easy to use design app.

MyCaseBuilder.com provided a solution for custom foam inserts without having to Pick and Pluck or chop the foam up with a knife.

From our humble beginnings, we have now grown to over 40 employees and continue to live by Abe's vision of great foam, great value, great fun!
